Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera Module V2.1 8MP

The Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera Module V2.1 8MP is an official Raspberry Pi camera designed for computer vision, AI, robotics and infrared imaging applications. Built around the Sony IMX219 8-megapixel image sensor, it delivers high-quality still images and HD video while connecting directly to the Raspberry Pi through the CSI camera interface.

Unlike the standard Camera Module V2, the NoIR version does not include an infrared-cut filter, allowing it to capture both visible and infrared light. When paired with 850nm or 940nm IR LEDs, it becomes an excellent solution for night vision, wildlife observation, surveillance and low-light monitoring. During daylight, images may show a pink or purple colour cast because infrared light is not filtered.

The camera supports 3280 × 2464 still images and video recording at 1080p, 720p and VGA high-frame-rate modes. It is compatible with Raspberry Pi 5, Raspberry Pi 4, Raspberry Pi 3, Raspberry Pi Zero (using the appropriate camera cable) and other Raspberry Pi boards equipped with a CSI connector.
